The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), is a United Kingdom-based global professional body working for the purchasing and supply professions whose objective is to be the "leading excellence in procurement and supply". CIPS aims to promote and develop high standards of professional skill, ability, and integrity among all those engaged in purchasing and supply chain management. The professional qualifications programmes include:

  1. Certificate in procurement and supply operations (CIPS level 2)
  2. Advanced certificate in procurement and supply operations (CIPS level 3)
  3. Diploma in procurement and supply (CIPS level 4)
  4. Advanced diploma in procurement and supply (CIPS level 5)
  5. Professional diploma in procurement and supply (CIPS level 6)

Based on the Tactical and Operational levels, this qualification will help a learner to understand key facts, procedures, and processes relevant for anyone aspiring to work in this profession.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

  4. Stock controller
  5. Merchandiser

 

The learner will be able to recognise and describe the key transactional processes of procurement and supply.

Advanced certificate in procurement and supply operations (CIPS level 3)

This qualification will help the learner to understand the factual and procedural requirements relevant for this profession. S/he will become a more confident problem solver able to complete new and existing tasks.  Also, s/he will gain a clear understanding about how procurement and supply fits in with the rest of the organisation.
