Mr Conrad Lablache

Chairperson

Mr Lablache is the Chairperson of TGMI. A lawyer with over 25 years of experience, he currently heads the corporate and finance practice of the firm Pardiwalla Twomey Lablache and sits on several other boards. He is also a notary and a member of Insolvency International.  

 He holds an LLB (Maur), LLM (Oxf Brookes) and MCIArb (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK).

Ms May-Paule Marengo

Vice-Chairperson

Ms Marengo is a qualified professional specializing in Accounting and Finance,with previous international experiences as a Account Assistant and an Equities Trader in well known Institutions such Cable & Wireless, Superfund, and Spirehealthcare. Have also gained experience in Telecom industry at Airtel (Seychelles) in Revenue Assurance/Compliance, and Business Planning & Analysis

Qualification include Bachelor Degree ( at University of Manchester in Accounting & Finance) and have completed MBA (at London Metropolitan in Finance) at and 1 paper left to complete ACCA .

With the vast experience and dynamic knowledge in Accounting & Finance, always keen to grow and apply skills gained.

 

Mrs Shella Mohideen

Mr Charles Ally

Board Member

Mr Ally a past Learner of The Guy Morel Institute (TGMI) before the demerger from the University of Seychelles where he was nominated as Learner representative of TGMI’s previous Governing Board. Following the demerger, Charles was appointed as a Member of the newly created TGMI in June 2018.

After completion of his studies in 2018, he has held the position of Assistant Accountant at the Ministry responsible for Finance and thereafter held the position of Banking Officer in the Central Bank of Seychelles to date. Having showed interest in the finance field, the Board appointed Charles as Chairman of the Audit Committee for a period of 2 years.

Having experienced life on campus at TGMI, Charles benefits the board in that he is informed of the nature of business and services that the institute offers from his role as Chairman of the Audit Committee and that he can escalate ideas to improve the experience from a learner’s perspective.

 

Mr Gerard Vidot

Board Member

Mr Vidot is retired and undertaking projects on a fixed contract basis, following long years of service in teaching and education administration. Areas of expertise include English Literature, Counselling and Careers Education, Curriculum Development, and Education Planning. Among my most significant contributions to the development of education were the introduction of counselling and careers education in schools, and the establishment of a quality assurance service which promoted ownership of the process of improvement in state schools. Hobbies include mountain climbing, photography, and bee-keeping.

Mr Francis Victor

Mr Patrick Bristol

Board Member

Mr Bristol Started his career as a Maths and Science Teacher and later moved to Information Technology. He has occupied the position of IT Manager at the Seychelles Institute of Management from September 2010 to December 2012 when the institute Act was repealed.

In January 2013, he took on the responsibility of IT Manager at the University of Seychelles until August 2018. In September 2018, he joined The Guy Morel Institute (TGMI) in the capacity as IT Manager. In February 2019, Patrick’s career took a new direction when he was appointed the Administrative Manager of TGMI, a position he currently holds.
